Jim Deleeuw serves as a Managing Director for 1stWEST Mergers & Acquisitions. He brings over 35 years of entrepreneurial owner/operator experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, and the technology industries. He has a solid commercial banking and SBIC background which was followed by acquiring, managing and successfully exiting a portfolio of his own privately held operating companies. Jim has strong operational, financial and M&A transactional skills. His extensive experience includes private equity investments, financial management as well as the acquisition and sale of numerous companies.

Jim has an excellent private company leadership and ownership background that includes Founder of Bethmar Industrial Corporation which went on to acquire Carlton Screw Company, a manufacturer of industrial fasteners. He acquired Evansville Supply Company, a regional distributor of electrical and industrial supplies, which 30 years later was sold to Consolidated Electrical Distributors. Jim acquired Racine Glove Company and was CEO/Chairman of this 400 employee manufacturer of safety clothing. He was also President/CEO of Arkay Corporation and Chairman/CEO of Microcap Corporation, a manufacturer of high capacity chip capacitors.

Jim has been an active member of YPO and WPO for many years and was President of the Wisconsin Presidents Organization in 1996. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ripon College with Graduate Studies in Economics from Marquette University.
