Jerry Oldham is a Partner in 1stWEST Mergers & Acquisitions. He brings a business ownership and broad corporate finance background to 1stWEST M&A. His focus is on new business opportunities, debt and equity capital raises, due-diligence and negotiating and structuring transactions. Mr. Oldham has owned and managed several diverse businesses over his investment career and has a significant senior management background in banking, corporate and real estate finance, including executive management positions with Mountain Banks, Ltd., Capitol Federal Savings and Security Pacific Corporation. Jerry is currently Chairman and CEO of 1stWEST Financial Corporation, a company that he co-founded 20 years ago which is a global leader in providing background investigations to the corporate finance, private equity and investment banking industries.

Mr. Oldham received his B.S. Degree in Finance and Real Estate from The Pennsylvania State University and his M.S. Degree in Banking and Finance from Colorado State University.  While at Penn State he was President of the College of Business Student Counsel and was awarded the Dean's Cup upon graduation. He is recognized for his banking research and publications in the areas of commercial loan pricing and profitability analysis and due-diligence.  He is frequently published and engaged as a speaker on due-diligence panels in the corporate finance and private equity industry. Mr. Oldham is a graduate of the American Bankers Association's Undergraduate and Graduate level studies programs and holds the ABA's Certified Commercial Lender designation.  Jerry serves on the Executive Committee of the Commercial Finance Association and on the Board of Governors of its Education Foundation, of which he is past Campaign Chairperson.  Jerry is also a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, and 1stWEST is a member of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies.

Mr. Oldham’s personal interests include writing, golf, classic cars, horseback riding, hiking and many outdoor activities in Colorado’s high country.
