James Wygand, Joins 1stWEST Mergers & Acquisitions LLC As Managing Director
1stWEST Mergers & Acquisitions LLC is pleased to announce its Latin American expansion into Brazil and the appointment of James Wygand as a Managing Director.
James Wygand brings a 39 year career as a business and economics specialist on Brazil, working with various multinational companies in either an operations or finance capacity. Jim has a comprehensive knowledge of the Brazilian operating environment and the M&A market. Throughout his career, he has brought over $1 billion of investments to Brazil.
He has a strong senior management business background that includes working for the DuPont Company in the Treasury Department’s Foreign and Banking Division, Banco Lar Brasileiro (Chase Manhattan Bank) as an economist, CEO of Business International Corporation, President of Kroll Associates for Brazil, President of Southern Cone Region for Control Risks Group, as well as, founder of Risk Solutions and Singular Strategies.
Jim has an undergraduate and Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and was a Fulbright Scholar to Brazil. He established the Brazilian Business Forum, a CEO peer group of 23 multinational manufacturing companies and has several publications to his credits.
