Stanley Gilman has a diverse background compiling more than 30 years of high-level experience in finance, inventory management, operations, strategic business development and business planning serving manufacturers, distributors and retailers.  During the past 15 years, he provided specialized services such as asset valuations, liquidation strategies and restructuring actions.

He is a co-founder of Hilco Appraisal Services, a leading international asset valuation firm and independent operating unit of the Hilco Organization. As a practitioner, Stan conducted thousands of consumer and non-consumer inventory valuations such as apparel, footwear, grocery, pharmaceutical, jewelry and sporting goods.  He has spent countless hours peer reviewing inventory valuations and mentoring senior-level appraisers and analysts. 

Prior thereto, Stan held the Director of Systems and Controls position in the asset recovery business unit of a leading global advisory, operating and financial services firm. Stan also served as audit manager with an international accounting firm, and as controller and chief financial officer for various public and private retail chains, manufacturers and distributors. 

Stan has an undergraduate degree with a major in accounting and finance from Bryant University, obtained his graduate certificate in special studies with an emphasis in finance from Harvard University and earned his MBA degree with a major in finance from Babson College. He has lectured to banks and published articles regarding inventory valuations including “The Mirror Image Appraisal” – a new paradigm emerges in the asset appraisal industry.
